**We’re actively looking for an experienced Underwriter to join us within our Underwriting team (22 month FTC)**

In this role you'll be involved in evaluating financial data to make underwriting decisions on all types of proposals submitted by retailers and partners. Additionally, a key responsibility of the role is to make quick and responsible lending decisions. On a daily basis you'll be involved in the following:

- Make commercially sound decisions within the time standards agreed with Retailers and Partners.
- Discuss proposals with Retailers, Partners and Internal Sales at all levels effectively.

**Qualification**:

- 1-2 years of Underwriting experience gained within the financial services sector.
- Ability to commit working on a fixed term contract basis.
- Flexibility to work on a shift basis including weekends (standard hours 37.5 over 7 day period).
- Time will be split between office and remote working.
- Ability to analytically assess, interpret and evaluate data quickly and accurately.
- Ability to deliver in a time pressured environment and handle multiple high priority tasks.
- Ability to build business relationships with strong interpersonal skills.
- Act with integrity and embrace the principle of treating our customers fairly
