To complement and strengthen our existing teams, we have the following vacancy:
A position has become available for a Payroll Assistant to work in our busy Finance Department. This role in an opportunity to process the weekly payroll across an established group in the construction sector, acting as maternity cover.

The key tasks of processing the weekly payroll includes:

- Collation of timesheets
- Calculating additional pay items (e.g. subsistence, bonus, fares and travel, etc)
- Calculate and monitor any sickness pay/paternity pay etc
- Formatting relevant spreadsheets, compiling information for Key personnel
- Deal with employee queries, liaise with HR and administer payroll deduction schemes (pension, childcare vouchers, court orders etc.)
- PAYE Reconciliation/Payment
- Gender Pay Gap Reporting
- Engineer/ Foreman Cost Allocation
- Working accurately to tight deadlines to meet the requirements of the department
- Assisting others within the department when required, including annual leave cover.

Knowledge of COINS would be preferable but training on this will be given
- Previous experience of Using Microsoft Office packages, including Excel is required

The office is based in Burscough, Lancashire.

The hours are 37.5 hours per week: Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:30 with a 1hr unpaid lunch break.
