Job Title: Front of House Staff

**Job Type**: Permanent Full-time/part-time

**Salary**: Pay depending on experience.

Hours: variable to suit but will include a combination of regular day, evening and weekend shifts.
Start date: will be Feb 2023.

Location: OX39 4AH

Our client The Peacock Country Inn is recruiting Front of House Staff to join their friendly team locally renowned for exceptional food and customer service. They offer 24 traditional yet spacious bedrooms and self-catering apartments.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform all check-in and check-out tasks
- Manage online and phone reservations
- Welcome guests upon their arrival and assign rooms
- Provide information about our hotel, available rooms, rates and amenities
- Liaise with our housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms are clean, tidy and fully-furnished to accommodate guests’ needs
- Confirm group reservations and arrange personalized services for VIP customers and event attendees, including conferences, training courses and parties.
- Upsell additional facilities and services, when appropriate
- Maintain updated records of bookings and payments
- Bar and Restaurant sales and table service.
- Maintaining clean and hygienic service areas in bar and restaurant.

**Requirements**:

- Must have a friendly and helpful manner and be a team player.
- Recent references required. (academic or good character references accepted for less experienced staff)
- Excellent communication and organisational skills

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Day range:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Physical setting:

- Bar
- Restaurant

Shift:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Chinnor, OX39 4AH: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
