**Marine Engineer - £35,000 (OTE £55,000) + Benefits - Newcastle-upon-Tyne / Remote**

**The Role
Do you have Field Service experience in the Marine industry? Are you looking to take the next step in building a long-term career? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.

We are looking for a Self-disciplined, self-motivated and detail oriented individual to join our team as a Marine Engineer. This job needs people who are happy to travel anywhere, at any time at short notice, and to work unsociable hours.

As a Marine Engineer you need to be able to operate effectively in different cultures and countries. You will deal with external representatives of the company and directly with customers, often in stressful Dry-Docking situation where time constraints areimportant.

Factory training on seal servicing will be provided.

**Key Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of a Marine Engineer include, but are not limited to:

- Primarily service and commission stern tube seals. This requires a good understanding of propulsion systems.
- Service, commission and install other products in the company’s product range.
- Liaise with internal staff and the customer (yard or vessel) to ensure jobs are completed efficiently and well and signed off as approved.
- Write clear reports, timesheets, expenses and documentation for each job.
- Maintain bonding and other equipment as required.
- Pass back information (for example, for use in sales) as requested.

We specialise in supplying our global customers with medium-speed, four-stroke engine spares, as well as supporting our UK & Ireland customerswith sales & service for various European manufactured marine components for principles such as SKF Marine GmbH and Becker Marine Systems GmbH.

We also stock & distribute for other companies such as Parker Condition Monitoring and Filtration, Mann+Hummel, Delta-Xero, Durabrite Lights, etc.

**The Person
The key skills and qualities of a Marine Engineer are:

- Full UK driving licence (a work van is provided).
- 3+ years’ experience in Field Service.
- 3+ years’ experience in Marine Industry.
- Good problem-solving and planning skills.
