We are currently looking to recruit 2 x Porter/Drivers working at Savernake Hospital. As part of the Housekeeping team you will be required to provide a customer focused driver service for the site shuttle bus service and to undertake general Porter duties within the hospital.
We are looking for people with a full valid driving licence, an enthusiastic approach to customer service and good team work skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Good Customer Service Skills.
- Understanding for health and safety issues.
- Ability to work within a team and on your own.
- Ability to act calmly and effectively.
- Ability to use tact and diplomacy in all situations.
- Able to react flexibly in changing circumstances.
- Able to lift and bend.
- Basic computer skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence

To be a part of the team driving the site shuttlebus service for staff between the hospital site and the off site parking facility.

Move equipment, waste, linen and supplies around the hospital site in a safe and timely manner.

Ensure compounds, external areas and storage facilities are kept clean and safe.

React to the service Porter Request system.

Assist the Housekeeping Team in a variety of tasks when required.

1. Remove clinical, household and special waste from all areas within the hospital, segregating and placing in the appropriate wheelie bins. Maintaining household wheelie bins in a clean
condition.
2. Remove soiled linen from designated areas to holding areas ready for collection
3. Delivery and collect items to departments across the site, E.g. Post, food trolleys.
4. Receive and deliver CSSD and drug boxes throughout site.
5. Sustain adequate stocks of medical gases and receive deliveries ensuring all appropriate records are maintained.
