A large FMCG business, based on the outskirts of Portsmouth, has approached the talent acquisition team at NET Professional to secure a talented Finance Manager to improve the quality of the interface between finance and the operational teams. In addition to new product development, this impressive business wishes to cement their position by further driving operational efficiency and ensuring their amazing operational leaders have the benefitof a commercially astute business partner who can provide strong financial guidance and advice that will assist them in managing their budgets effectively, act as a sounding board to help them reduce cost, manage productivity issues and ultimately improvefinancial performance. Therefore, the businessis looking for a finance professional who can not only pursue the strongest target operating model in a short space of time, but effectively ensure the operational teams are empowered during this process, thus a superb relationship manager as well as a commerciallyintelligent Accountant will be required for this mandate.
Typical duties and responsibilities include:

- Support the sales and marketing teams by providing insightful KPI's surrounding costs and pricing issues, while also supporting commercial negotiations with customers
- Support senior operational leaders to drive operational efficiency across their business area and assist them to effectively manage their P&L
- Develop the quality of the management information suite in an interactive and collaborative way alongside the Directors that will track key growth metrics
- Conduct adhoc analysis to support new marketing initiatives and support commercial decision-making processes
- Act as a key agent to drive change across the business and help put in place solutions, especially surrounding the financial and management reporting process
What you need to apply
The business is keen to hear from commercially astute accountants with proven business partnering skills, preferably cultivated within high-growth fast-paced companies. While accountancy qualifications are not a prerequisite, CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualified accountantswill be at a distinct advantage. Moreover, a highly analytical mindset is a must as this is not a pure technical accounting role, but rather more analytically focused, thus superb Excel skills will be required to interrogate large datasets and draw meaningfulconclusions.
