Arborist

We are looking for an experienced Arborist to join our amazing team in the safe removal and clearance of vegetation and trees, on a full time, permanent basis. This role will involve you climbing on a regular basis as well as providing aerial rescue support for your team. We are passionate about providing a ‘Gold-Standard’ service so we are looking for people who take pride in their work and complete tasks to a high standard.

- Recent experience as a climbing Arborist in a railway environment
- Personal Track Safety (PTS)
- Chainsaw
- Use of Chainsaw from Rope & Harness
- Brush Cutter/Strimmer
- Chipper
- Fell and process small trees
- Aerial Rescue
- Rope Access

Working hours: 40 hours per week, including some weekend and night work.

Rate of pay: circa. £110 per day/£28,600 p.a., plus ongoing support of competencies/tickets.

Working in partnership with Network Rail and alongside other major contractors, COOMBES provide a whole manner of off-track services, including vegetation management, on-track plant hire, ecological support, civil engineering and fencing - all while maintaining a focus on quality, safety and efficiency.

We have seen recent significant growth as a Principal Contractor and Framework Contractor to Network Rail and are looking to recruit an Arborist to help us deliver on some exciting vegetation projects.
