**Job Title: Strategic Buyer**

**Salary £25k - £30k**

**Location -Hailsham**

**A exciting opportunity has become available at a leading Engineering company which this year is looking to expand to keep up with demand.**

**Key responsibilities**

To ensure the supply of the required production material, in the right quality, on time and cost effective. To achieve that objective quality standards are agreed with suppliers. To manage cost effectiveness 3 suppliers should be qualified for each productand 2 suppliers should share the supply of a product or a portfolio of products.

**Duties**
- Reduce quality defects of supplied products
- Enable form of supply ready for use
- Improve Supplier on time delivery to 90% within one week
- Reduce dependency on one supplier
- Reduce cost of supply
- Increase standardisation of supply

**Skills & Experience Required**
- Good knowledge of high mix, low volume purchasing environment
- Working in a team environment with engineering, manufacturing, logistics, quality, purchasing, planning, sales
- Experienced in dealing with suppliers
- Diligent follow up and result oriented approach
- Managing complex tasks
