Study/trial Coordinator

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated Study/Trial Coordinator to join the CanRisk Study Team in the Department of Public Health and Primary Care. This post will contribute to the CanRisk Research Programme which focuses on the development of user-friendly cancer risk prediction tools, such as the internationally renowned medical device CanRisk (see CanRisk.org), for breast, ovarian and prostate cancer.
The post-holder will be a key member of CanRisk Study Team who are responsible for coordinating two concurrently running large clinical studies within the CanRisk Research Programme. One of these is a feasibility study in primary care that looks to offer breast cancer risk assessments to females in the general population via their GP. The other is a randomised controlled trial testing a new clinical pathway in clinical genetics services.
The role will focus primarily on the recruitment and support of research sites alongside the management of and storage of research data. The post-holder will also assist with general trial co-ordination tasks within the CanRisk Study Team. On a day-to-day basis, the role will include the recruitment of sites/patients, data monitoring and entry, and liaison with other members of the research team including clinical/academic collaborators.
The funding for this post is available for 12 months from commencement in post.

The role is based at Strangeways Research Laboratory, Worts Causeway, Cambridge, CB1 8RN (approximately 2 miles south of the city centre). We are committed to flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options combining remote and on-site work, and are open to accommodating individual circumstances where possible.
