Due to continued growth, this highly-regarded and long-established insurance brokerage is seeking an experienced Commercial Account Handler to work from its Camarthen office.

You’ll be managing a varied portfolio of insurance risks, comprising both commercial and agricultural business. Duties will include, but certainly not be limited to, handling renewals, processing mid-term adjustments, negotiating with Underwriters, and dealing with general day to day client enquiries. You’ll also be responsible for growing the account, mainly via cross and up-selling other relevant products and services.

Alternatively, as other ex Account Handlers have done, you could move into a range of other business areas, including but not limited to Marketing, Claims, Compliance, Risk Management and Leadership.

Ideally, you will have previous insurance experience gained from within a commercial broking environment. However, our client is flexible on experience and will consider Personal Lines Account Handlers who would like to transition into Commercial and Agricultural insurance. Equally, they will consider Underwriters who would like to move into broking. Importantly, you will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to forge and maintain strong working relationships with clients, insurers and stakeholders. You’ll also be well-organised and able prioritise tasks effectively. It’s crucial that you are an inquisitive person who is genuinely interested in people’s businesses activities and livelihoods.
