Domiciliary Housekeeper

You will be part of a happy, welcoming Domiciliary team all of whom contribute to the positive and friendly atmosphere of our Retirement Village. Based on one site, there is no driving between client calls.

The work will require compassion, patience and understanding, but the rewards and job satisfaction are high.

St George's Retirement Village is based in St George’s Park, Ditchling Road, within 3 miles of both Haywards Heath and Burgess Hill, set within 250 acres of beautiful gardens and farmlands, in an area of outstanding natural beauty with views overlooking the South Downs.

**Domiciliary Housekeeper duties**:

- To provide domestic duties to client’s as per their requirements e.g. cooking, washing-up, vacuum cleaning, bed making, laundry, ironing, tidying rooms and wheelchair cleaning etc.
- To ensure and maintain cleanliness of the individuals home to a high standard.
- To be aware of the guidelines relating to the use of cleaning checklists used on a daily basis.
- To wear the correct protective clothing as laid down in the policies and procedures.
- To adhere to the Health and Safety policies and procedures including the COSHH regulations.
- To report any malfunctions/faults/damage of equipment or fittings that requires maintenance to the client.
- To report accidents or incidents and to record it in the accident/incident book.
- Report any hazards observed when cleaning the clients home to the client and the Domiciliary Care Co-ordinators.

If you do not have any experience, but are enthusiastic and willing to work hard and learn we would also like to hear from you, as full training will be given.

**Working Hours**:
20-30 hours per week over 5 days
