Northampton, United Kingdom Bauhaus Education Full time

Tuition would be delivered to students in a small group of between 3 to 5 students and some could be tutored remotely. This role is in Northampton town centre and the tutor should ideally reside in or around Northampton.

The successful individuals would be expected to:

- Facilitate learning by establishing a relationship with learners, keeping learning resources organised and creating a positive learning environment.
- Have a strong skill and social ability and social abilities to enable the provision of learning experiences of the students, and able to support learners of varying ability and aptitude.
- Link learners’ knowledge to earlier learning and develop ways to encourage it further, challenging and inspiring them to deepen their knowledge and understanding.
- Assess and record progress and prepare pupils for GCSE examinations.
- Use the inhouse learner and parents’ engagement tools to provide feedback to parents/guardians after each session.
- Be a contact point for parents and work closely with them in supporting the learners’ progress.
- Provide a safe, healthy environment, and follow the safeguarding procedures, as well as all other Bauhaus Policies and Procedures.
- Organise schedule for learners whilst continuously monitoring their progress in identifying alternative strategies.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Ability to tutor KS3 and KS4 and prepare students for GCSE in Maths and Science.
- An awareness of different learning strategies and teaching methods suitable for teaching a diverse range of abilities.
- Experience of teaching/training or working with groups of young people or adults.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Degree in Education.

**Ability to commute/relocate**:

- NORTHAMPTON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Bachelor's (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Teaching: 1 year (preferred)
- Tutoring: 1 year (preferred)

Pay: £22,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
