We have an exciting opportunity to join the People team in a permanent role as a People Partner, predominately based across Kara Bakery in Manchester and Fletchers Bakery in Sheffield.

Our Fletchers bakery has over 125 years of baking tradition, with our Kara bakery supplying delicious wholesale bakery products for over 35 years starting with the first floured bap. Both have been part of the Finsbury Food Group since 2014. Employing over 600 people across both sites and running 24/7, it encompasses a culture of Teamwork and a focus on continuous improvement at all levels.

This role offers the opportunity for Hybrid working with the ability to work approximately 1-2 days a week from home. We also offer on-going training and career development.

This is a career building opportunity, offering development at site and within the larger Group People team at Finsbury Food Group. Therefore, we are looking for someone who has drive and determination.

**This is what you’ll actually do**

As the People Partner you’ll report into the Lead People Partner, implementing the Company’s people strategy and companywide initiatives.

You will partner with key stakeholders to embed the culture and values that are key to the business, supporting local levels of management and employees to ensure the best performance in a motivating environment.

You’ll manage employee relations cases which include, but not limited to; disciplinary, grievance, performance management, this may include coaching, providing advice, considering best practice and evaluating risk in relation to the best course of action.

You’ll support end to end recruitment, including salary benchmarking, recruitment briefs, advertising, job descriptions, person specification, interview scripts and social media recruitment campaigns. While ensuring the company applicant tracking system is accurate and maintained.

You will also build line manager capability by providing coaching to the line managers ensuring they work closely with Supervisors and Team Leaders to ensure that individual performance levels are achieved ensuring consistency of approach, providing guidance and support where appropriate. You will proactively work with your business area ensuring employee absence processes are being adhered to in line with the absence management procedure, work with the OH team in managing short and long terms cases to resolution.

Involvement in People focused projects and implementing People strategies is a key part of this role.

You’ll have to opportunity to work cross functionally with the larger Group People teams and other areas of the larger business.

**Ideally this is you**
- Previous experience in a similar generalist People (HR) position in a fast-paced working environment.
- Ideally degree educated and/or a CIPD Level 5 qualification
- A sound working knowledge of UK Employment Law.
- Confident with communicating with a wide range of stakeholders.
- A working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.
- Highly organised and detail oriented, with good administration skills
- Passionate about HR
