**Working Week**:

- Mon - sat 7.30am-6pm

**Vacancy Short Description**:

- Trainee position available in an afro Caribbean retail store
- Working within the Retail team,, cutting meat with both the bandsaw and knives, serving customers and cutting to their specification, processing catering orders and cleanliness of workplace
- Innovative and dependable retail assistant, providing great customer service, working with initiative while maintaining health and safety standards.
- perform quality inspections on meat and other products.
- greet and speak to customers, providing advice, answering questions, and accepting orders.
- strong communication, task management and customer service skills.
- able to stand or walk for extended periods, prepared to lift heavy items up to 25kg and should work in cold environments (chiller/freezer)
- cleanliness, maintenance and ability to use tools and machinery.
- Comply with company policies and legal guidelines
- Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities
- Always Adhering to health and safety.
- Equipment maintenance, inventory control.
- Good spatial awareness.
- Attention to details and ability to operate and control equipment.
- comfortable in meat handling
- Knowledge in stocking, stacking, packaging, critical thinking

**Qualifications Required**:

- Excellent physical condition and co-ordination.
- Knowledge and understanding of variety of goods
- Familiar with industrial equipment

**Additional Details**:

- De-briefing Retail Manager daily / weekly on the activities.
- Must be open to taking on various other tasks & responsibilities whether routine or otherwise given by the Retail Manager.

**Salary**: £10.50-£11.00 per hour
