**Main Duties**

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a small team who are delivering the Council’s resettlement programme for Ukrainians fleeing the war through the government’s Homes 4 Ukraine scheme. We are looking for someone to deliver the wraparound support for Ukrainian citizens staying with hosts, and then moving into rented accommodation in the Canterbury, Whitstable and Herne Bay areas. This will include being an advocate and providing translation support for Ukrainian families struggling with the language barrier. The postholder will be working in partnership with local communities and statutory and voluntary sector agencies. Most visits will be within the home, but it will also require attendance at the support hubs. Some of these visits will be outside normal working hours.

**Essential Requirements**

Knowledge
- Understanding of the needs of refugees
- Knowledge of local support organisations
- Driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential

**Skills**:

- Ukrainian speaking
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including an ability to work with a wide variety of people, such as residents, politicians, senior managers and operational staff. This includes a knowledge of the Ukrainian language
- Ability to manage a demanding workload
- Emotional resilience

Experience
- Multi-agency and partnership working experience
- Experience of dealing with vulnerable clients
