London, United Kingdom Groundwork London Full time

**Family Link Worker**
**Ref**: 1077/FLW
**Salary**: £28,000 pro rata
**Hours**: 22.5 hours per week
**Contract**: Fixed Term Contract until January 2024
**Location**: The Nest’s hub in Peckham and other sites in the London Borough of Southwark as needed.

**Job Summary**:
Groundwork London works with communities across the capital to transform their lives and the places they live. We have been at the forefront of social and environmental regeneration in London for over 25 years, and today we have a simple mission: to createbetter places, improve people’s prospects, and promote greener living and working. We are passionate about creating a future where every neighbourhood is vibrant and green, every community is strong and able to shape its own destiny, and no-one is held backby their background or circumstance.

The Nest is Groundwork London’s mental wellbeing support service for young people aged 0 - 25 and living in the London Borough of Southwark. Since launching as a remote service in May of 2020, right in the midst of the Covid-19 Pandemic, The Nest has gonefrom strength to strength and we have been able to grow our offer to include support for parents and carers thanks to funding from the Mayor of London’s Violence Reduction Unit (VRU) which has seen us launch our Strengthening Families for a Stronger Communityprogramme.

Our Strengthening Families programme aims to support the parents/carers of young people of Afro-Caribbean heritage who are at risk of school exclusion through a blended approach of 121 therapy, educational workshops and peer-to-peer support.

We have been delivering the programme for over a year now and we’re looking to expand our delivery model through the recruitment of a Family Link Worker who can help us reach and engage some of our most vulnerable families.

**Please contact us if you have**:

- Experience supporting vulnerable families and helping them to engage with services
- Experience of working in multi-agency settings
- An understanding of the barriers families can face in accessing support and the tools to help them overcome them
- An awareness of working to safeguard children and vulnerable adults, including relevant training

Interview Date: Interviews will be conducted remotely the week commencing 30th January 2023**
