Hours: 08:00 - 16:30 / 09:00 - 17:30, 40 hours per week - will be required to have some flexibility

Work pattern: Monday to Friday (rare Saturday work), potential hybrid opportunities

Location: Oxfordshire

We are excited to be representing this leading event catering company who are continuously growing and needs someone to help take their business to the next level, whilst maintaining the same level of exceptional quality that they pride themselves in maintaining.This Maternity Cover position will be a 9 month fixed term contract, with the potential for extension. This is also an excellent way to get your foot into this successful business to open more doors for yourself once the Maternity Cover has ended

Key Responsibilities as Production Manager:

- Supporting the Senior Management Team to deliver on all operational requirements
- Being the main point of contact for all travel accounts
- Managing the operational budget ensuring that things are kept in line
- Resolving issues in a functional and effective way
- Confirming all messages are properly and consistently communicated across the business and enhance effective communication
- Use operational budgets to promote profitability
- Ensuring the company has all required resources to meet the objectives set within agreed financial guidelines
- Overseeing management of the on-site facility
- Participating in team development through means such as talent acquisition, providing education, performance management and praising high performing staff members
- Dealing with high profile clients
- Carrying Induction training and other HR tasks for new starters
- Managing and implementing the Health and Safety policy and risk assessments across the business
- Attending conferences on Operations, Transport and Health & Safety and communicate the most up-to-date best practices to the business
- Developing, leading and managing the logistics Standards & Operations Planning (SOP) process
- Managing the Security Plan and becoming the CAA representative
- Ensuring that the company follows laws and regulations regarding hazardous materials and transportation
- Managing all external inspections (EHOs, CAA and auditing bodies)
- Lead/manage/hold the team accountable for achieving business commitments to support company objectives
- Driving to meet the objectives/goals set by management related to Monthly Forecasting, Quality Assurance, staff turnover, P&L, H&S, FS, CAA compliance and all other set goals
- 3 + years managing a large scale operation
- Excellent rapport building skills with a bubbly, friendly and approachable personality
- Can adapt well to change
- Understands that this is a 365 day operation and will need to assist people who do not get bank holidays off
- Experience in Project management
- Has proven experience in managing financials/budgets (essential)
- Strong track record of innovation and making changes to the operation to further improve the work environment and unit performance
- Able to communicate with all levels of employees and have the ability to drive positive change
- Passionate about food
- Has strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Is very hands on
- Ability to effectively manage the operation whilst complying with a heavily regulated environment e.g. HACCP
- Excellent and swift problem-solving skills
- Excellent Microsoft Office tool skills (Excel, Word)
- Strong organisational skills
- Driving license is preferred
- DBS and counter-terrorism check (essential)
- 5 year clean referencing for CAA (essential)
