Trainee Accountant

**Trainee Accountant, £22,000, Ripon**

The role will involve managing day-to-day requirements of the Finance function by ensuring that all related financial issues are correctly accounted for.

**Key Duties**:

- Ensure that operating expenses are correctly recorded
- Ensuring all required month end inputs are processed accurately and in line with the month end timetable
- Undertake balance sheet reconciliations each month
- Support the finance manager with identifying and highlighting risks and opportunities
- Respond effectively to information requests from the business,
- Respond to queries from branches on their branch accounts
- Liaise with other areas of the business

**Skills Required**:

- An Interest in working in Accounting/Finance department
- Keen to learn and develop pursuing further studies/qualifications such as CIMA/ACCA/ACA
- Basic Knowledge working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Good communication skills
- Demonstrates good attention to detail, organisation skills & initiative
- Flexible, able to consistently meet deadlines / consistently motivated and focused on delivery
- General Accounts experience
