Site and Information Assistant

Job Introduction Northumberland County Council’s Staff Bank provides a pool of highly skilled temporary workers who are looking for a long-term placement, or who want to work flexibly within the council. If a team needs support due to sickness, common staff shortages, or general vacancies, they call upon registered bank members to fill available assignments. These can be filled via a long-term assignment for up to 12 months or on an ad hoc basis.

**The role**:We are looking for Site & Information Assistants to join our teams at Bolam Lake Country Park, Plessey Woods Country Park & Druridge Bay Country Park.

Duties to include-General grounds maintenance, general repair work, installation of new features, habitat restoration and conservation work, working on park events, health and safety checks, helping with park user queries, waste management, keeping the park clean & safe, leading volunteer groups and any other tasks as required.

You will be working as part of a team and on your own.

**Requirements**:Must be reasonably fit and healthy and be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

No experience needed, however previous Countryside, Parks & Green Space, Environmental Conservation and Grounds maintenance work preferred. Training can be provided.

Driving essential.

**Further information**:Variable hours with weekends and bank holidays available.

Pay is £11.79 per hour, higher rate given for weekends / bank holidays.
