**Job role**: Data Entry Clerk

**Salary**: £12.00 per hour

**Working Hours**:Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours

**The key responsibilities of this role will include**:

- Inputting new information into database systems
- Regularly updating existing database system records
- Producing reports
- Creating spreadsheets with large numbers of figures
- Verifying data by comparing it to source documents
- Retrieving data from the database or electronic files as requested
- Performing regular backups to ensure data preservation
- Sorting and organising paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lost
- Adhering to finance policies and procedures and confidentiality
- Handling telephone calls, general enquiries and taking messages
- Following and adhere to Health and Safety procedures
- Ensuring work areas are tidy
- Any other delegated duties considered appropriate for the post
- Communicating effectively to deliver excellent customer service to patients, practices and external partners
- Promoting effective teamwork with all staff
- Providing appropriate communication to identify problems and solutions promptly
- Experience with finance
- Standard/basic DBS check (Essential)
- Sage 50 Knowledge (Essential)
- Great attention to detail
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work under own initiative
- Strong organisational skills
