We are delighted to be working with this global organisation in their search for A Head of Procure to Pay. This role will sit within the Central Finance Function and will lead and direct the Procure to Pay team that supports the Group Companies.

The Head of P2P will be the Global Process Owner for P2P and will be responsible for defining and enforcing the P2P process across the Group using excellent communication, training, and mentoring skills and through the development of clear policies.

The company are currently undertaking an ERP roll out project where all companies are moving to a standard way of working within one ERP system. This role will play a part in assisting the ERP process design, process role out, training, and ongoing complianceacross the Group.

Longer-term as the Global Process Owner this role will work to continually optimise the process and introduce automation where applicable e.g. invoice scanning.

We operate a hybrid working model and this role will be split between our office location and remote working.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

- Global Process Owner for the P2P process responsible for defining and enforcing the P2P process across the Group
- Drive standardisation, best practice, and simplification of the P2P process across the Group
- Continually optimise the process and introduce automation where applicable e.g. invoice scanning
- Ensure a robust control environment is in place and controls appropriately adhered to
- Lead and manage the P2P team ensuring individuals are actively developed in their roles
- Determine appropriate structure of future team and ensure it is fit for purpose for the continued expansion of the Group
- Improve service levels with group companies ensuring recurring issues are addressed

As Head of the P2P team, you will be ultimately responsible for, and will assist in the delivery of the following:

- Full management of supplier payments and associated processes
- Oversight and approval of new suppliers
- Regular review of aged creditors to ensure suppliers are paid on time
- Reconcile supplier statements, investigating and solving any variances
- Dealing with miscellaneous supplier queries
- Processing of staff expenses in a timely fashion and assist all staff with submission as required
- Process all credit card claims and match them against bank payments
- Ensure that the appropriate backup is provided for expense claims and credit card claims and that they are correctly authorised
- Ensure VAT is appropriately and accurately recorded for all claims
- Identify and assist in the implementation of opportunities to streamline and automate processes
- Assist with audit queries as required
- Other ad hoc tasks as required by the Head of Reporting and Accounting Team
- Maintaining an appropriate control environment ensuring team members understand their responsibility for compliance and risk management

The Person
- Experience of working with different accounting packages
- Experience working in a shared service or central finance function with an understanding of good process and best practice
- Strong Excel skills
- Staff management experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills - an ability to communicate with various stakeholders and team members across the Group
- Self-motivated and flexible in approach
- Strong attention to detail and organisation skills
- Good time management and prioritisation skills
- A team player and role model within Finance, demonstrating the Group’s values and creating an expectation that colleagues will do the same
