If so, our client have a fantastic opportunity to join their team as a Risk and Compliance Manager reporting to the Director of Risk and Compliance. They are well established in financial services and offer a range of finance products including credit cards,personal loans and hire purchase deals, mortgages, and debt-solution products.

Our client need a confident self-starter who can join their Risk and Compliance team and help ensure our customers are treated fairly. Attention to detail and good analytical skills are paramount for the role, alongside the ability to use your own initiativeand work under pressure.

**What will you be doing?**
- Improvement and continued execution of the risk management framework. This includes facilitating risk assessments, monitoring issues/actions, control design testing, supporting implementation of new/updated frameworks and monitoring and testing controleffectiveness and execution.
- Embedding and developing a culture of risk management, including controls awareness and adoption.
- Ensure all changes are managed through appropriate governance and enable the business to thrive whilst managing against our risk appetite.
- Working with all business units to ensure the business remains compliant with all appropriate regulations.
- Ensure the firm has effective systems, procedures and controls for compliance with requirements and standards under the regulatory system, including risk management, anti-money laundering and data protection.
- Develop an effective compliance education plan.
- Support the business in the review of Non-Disclosure Agreements, Service Level Agreements or other legal agreements.
- Ensure the firm has appropriate second line oversight of business practices/processes that are intended to ensure our operations are compliant at all levels.
- Support Senior Management Team and Executive Committee to embed monthly Risk & Compliance meetings, as well as other key risk management tasks: key risk indicators are well-defined and understood in a timely manner, issues and incidents are managed, MIand reporting packs are created, and risk & control assessments are completed.
- Enable the identification of applicable regulations for the business, and work with the business units to be compliant by design.

**What skills do you need?**
- Previous experience in financial services in a risk and compliance assurance role.
- Experience in designing and delivering risk assurance/compliance monitoring plans.
- Positive, constructive approach to assurance testing with emphasis on delivering good customer outcomes.
- Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels across the business.
- Ability to challenge business stakeholders objectively and effectively.
- Effective communication skills.
- Experience in a changing business environment, with a passion for delivering excellence and continuous improvement.
