Beauty Consultant Role Profile

**Role Profile**

Beauty Experts sell and give advice on the use of different cosmetics and skin care products. They provide each customer or client with highly detailed, personalized service to help them meet their beauty and health goals with the best products for their skin and hair.

Ultimately leading to the store, and personal sales target.

**Responsibilities**
- Greet customers upon their arrival.
- Demonstrate proper use of makeup and skin care products.
- Cross-sell beauty products, when appropriate and signpost to total holistic care using other products sold in the shop.
- Keep up to date on core product knowledge within your category.
- Identify customer needs and recommend cosmetics and skin care products based on their preferences.
- Help clients find products they’re looking for in our store, both within the beauty hall and in the wider store.
- Ensure proper presentation of products on shelves.
- Explain to customers how to use products they’re interested in buying.
- Advise customers on how to take care of their skin.
- Inform customers on prices and special offers.
- Replenish stock as needed.
- Maintain immaculate grooming standards.

**Expectations**
- Achieve weekly/monthly/yearly sales target.
- Help store drive sales.
- Use digital platform to advertise and boost awareness of brand in the area.

**Specific Duties**
- **Provide a High Standard of Customer Service**_

1. To acknowledge customers promptly upon entering the branch

2. To serve customers politely and efficiently, responding appropriately to customer needs and taking appropriate action if a complaint or if a product is not available.

3. To set and manage customer expectations, regarding the level of service we can reasonably offer.

4. Demonstrate a good knowledge of products and services offered.

5. Make sales in accordance with the company security procedures.
- **Manage Stock**_

1. Receive incoming stock and store it correctly, completing documentation, minimising damage and effectively rotating stock to minimise expired stock, notifying suppliers of any discrepancies.

2. All stock should be registered on the tills and accurate stock counts kept on the till file constantly.

3. Stock count should be carried out every 6 months.

4. Maintain stock, checking levels and preparing orders as required; amending computer-generated orders; ensuring adequate stock levels and pricing stock at the current Company selling price.
- **Promote Products and Services**_

1. Be an ambassador for the company and the products and services we offer.

2. Take advantage of opportunities to maximise sales, e.g. linked sales medicines and larger packs

3. Arrange window and in-store displays, appropriate to the season and Company co-ordinated promotions.

4. Merchandise the store appropriately, including promotions and point of sale materials.

**General**

The Company expects all employees to work to the best of their ability, showing enthusiasm, assisting fellow employees and endeavouring to maintain a high standard of work ethics and commitment.

All employees should have a good working knowledge of the company’s Standard Operating Procedures and Policies (including Code of Conduct, Health and Safety regulations), working practises and the legal and ethical requirements affecting pharmacy relevant to their role. These policies and procedures should be followed at all times.

All employees are expected to show interest in furthering knowledge and be willing to attend training courses as requested by management or the training officer.

All employees are expected to make every effort to maintain good teamwork, discussing difficulties and working relationships promptly with their supervisor or Manager.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From £12.00 per hour

**Experience**:

- beauty sales: 2 years (preferred)
- Retail management: 1 year (required)
