**About the role**
- We have an exciting opportunity for an External Distribution Team Scheduler to join our friendly team based in Cheltenham. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 8:30am and 5:30pm.
- As External Distribution Team Scheduler, you will be responsible to the Transport manager for the daily coordination and scheduling of the mixed vehicle fleet to meet the client's operational requirements. You will ensure drivers CPC and licences are compliant with government transport regulations.

**Responsibilities**
- Scheduling the mixed BEV and ICE vehicle fleet on a daily basis to maintain the delivery of the clients goods inline with the SLAs.
- Establishing cost efficient routes and ensuring full utilisation of the vehicles on a daily basis.
- Produce daily and weekly driver rotas taking into account all mandatory transport regulations.
- Daily administration of maintaining the vehicle fleet and staff records as appropriate.
- Continuous analysis of scheduling data to identify opportunities for optimising routes and reducing travel costs along with the department's environmental impact to the supply chain.
- Ensure all aspects of the transport function are fully compliant with all O licence regulations.
- Maintaining the fleet to achieve continuous operational availability whilst ensuring it is operated to the highest standard.
- To assist the Transport Manager in the completion of various performance, quality and safety audits.
- Demonstrate good interpersonal skills, further enhancing client relationships in a supportive and collaborative way.
- Produce weekly and monthly reports on the performance of the vehicle fleet and highlight any areas in need of improvement.
- Monitor relationships with key stakeholders to ensure contractual requirements are fully met and KPI’s and SLA’s are achieved.
- Change advocate in support of new business initiatives / development and future ways of working with the focus on improving sustainability and green initiatives.
- Providing SME advice to the client and on site G4S management team.
- Promote G4S environmental and sustainability policy meeting set targets for the reduction in the department's carbon footprint.

**Key Health and Safety accountabilities include**:

- Ensuring the working environment and work undertaken by the Transport team is undertaken in a safe and efficient manner.
- Ensure the prompt and effective reporting of any health, safety and compliance issues are raised in using the correct methods
- Actively promoting a culture of safe, efficient working, with due regard for the health, safety and welfare of others including, Company staff, Authority staff, contractors and members of the public etc.
- To comply with Part B of the Health and Safety company procedure and emergency procedures as required.

**THE IDEAL CANDIDATE**:
**Essential**
- CPC Transport Manager Certification (Min Two Years).
- Previous experience of fleet scheduling and planning full, part and multi drop loads.
- Strong Knowledge of Transport regulations.
- Good verbal and written communications skills.
- Proven ability to develop and nurture relationships with stakeholders, ideally within a secure government environment.
- IT literate with experience of Google and Microsoft office.
- Full clean driving licence required (HGV Class 2).
