**About the role**
Reconnected to Health is the Northeast Prison’s Integrated Healthcare Service. The service is led by Spectrum Community Health CIC and delivered in partnership with Humankind and Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust. Humankind delivers the non-clinical Drug and Alcohol Recovery element of the service promoting opportunities and supporting best possible outcomes for individuals, their families and communities across Northeast prisons.
- Our new BRIC Coordinator role will ensure that we are able to provide specialist, tailored support enable service users to achieve positive changes. Building Recovery in Communities - This role leads on peer support, peer mentoring, mutual aid and service user involvement activity within our service. This includes links to community provision such as AA, NA, SMART and other service user engagement forums.
- You will provide 1:1 support for service users, from brief interventions through to structured treatment, including groups to ensure that every recovery journey is tailored to individual priorities. You will take a “whole person” holistic approach to ensure that every service user’s package of care encompasses all areas of their wellbeing, not just their substance use, to achieve the best possible outcomes for every person.
