- YOUR ROLEOur Operations team based in Dartford, which provides warehousing and distribution services for a prestigious luxury goods client, has an exciting opportunity for a university student looking for their third-year industry placement to join their team and learn about the different aspects of warehouse management and operations.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?Reporting into the Operations Manager, you will assist with the daily operations of the warehouse, such as receiving, picking, packing, and shipping orders. You will be involved in performing quality checks and audits on the inventory and stock levels and will have a chance to understand the process of handling returns and exchanges.

You will have the opportunity to observe value-added services, such as gift wrapping, personalization, and customization of products, and work with the warehouse management system and other software tools to optimize workflow and efficiency. You will gain valuable knowledge and experience by collaborating with other warehouse staff and managers to ensure a safe and productive work environment.

This role is Monday to Friday, working 8 hours shifts between the hours of 6:30am and 11pm, however flexibility is needed to cover early starts or late finishes.WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?This role is suitable for a current university student who is looking for a 12-month placement opportunity that allows them to gain valuable knowledge and insight of a logistics and warehousing operation. We are ideally looking for someone who has a desire to work in a logistics once graduated, has a passion for the industry and is eager and willing to learn.
