An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic support worker to join the Home Treatment team in West Dorset offering support to a range of clients experiencing acute mental health difficulties.

They would be expected to provide support for carers and service users accessing the Home Treatment Service and to carry out assigned tasks as identified by the registered nursing staff in relation to patient needs.

The Support Workers give time to individuals to promote their recovery and assist them to remain in the least restrictive environment whilst they recover.

Staff are supported to develop their skills and progress in their role through training and supervision.

This is a full time post of 37.5 hours per week. This role will require the worker to undertake shift based work. The service hours cover the period 9.00am - 22.00, seven days per week and the post holder may
be required to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service

To provide a supportive role for carers and service users accessingthe Home Treatment Service.

To carry out assigned tasks as identified by the registered nursing staff in relation to patient needs.

To provide support, give time to individuals and thus promote their recovery and assist them to remain in the least restrictive environment.

Employment in this post requires a Standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.
