We are seeking a highly organised and experienced Wills and Probate Legal Assistant to join our team.

As a Legal Assistant, you will primarily provide administrative support to our Head of Wills and Probate and assist with various tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our legal department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who uses a high degree of self management and initiative teamed with the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and who has a passion for the legal field.

**Duties**:

- Provide support and assistance alongside office duties and functions within the Simpson Jones office
- Open new files
- Organise and maintain legal files and documents
- Schedule appointments and meetings with clients
- Preparation of initial paperwork
- Prepare correspondence and communicate with clients and other parties involved in legal matters
- Assist with billing and invoicing processes
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Create correspondence and notes from Simpson Jones dictation software
- Obtain legal documentation from relevant agencies and parties

**Experience**:

- Proven experience as a Legal Assistant or similar role
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively
- Proficient in using legal software and databases
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Ability to use dictation software
- Proven excellent customer/client service

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £21,000.00-£24,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 25 - 35 per week
