Purchase Ledger Officer

My client is a family-run business based in London that has been serving the hospitality trade for over 35 years. They are a trusted provider of hospitality equipment and supplies to large chains, five-star hotels and restaurants as well as pubs, cafes,outside caterers and other small businesses. As an independent supplier, they are determined to build friendly, lasting relationships with their clients so their customer service is second to none.

They are looking for a Purchase Ledger Officer to join their accounts team, you will assist with the purchase ledger process, from purchase orders through to invoices and reconciliation.

**Main Duties**:

- Manage the Purchase inbox and categorise
- Print and file invoices
- Complete pro forma invoices
- Being first point of contact for all client queries
- Manage despatch notes and input onto the system to generate customer invoices
- Reconciliation of supplier statements
- Manage goods into warehouse despatch notes
- Check for discrepancies
- Chase monies from clients
- Ensure all invoices are inputted onto the system

**Requirements**:

- Purchase Ledger Bookkeeping experience.
- IT skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel and any relevant accounting systems
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work to deadlines with high
- Proactive, common sense approach
- Interpersonal, communication and teamworking skills.
- Commitment, organisation and discipline.
