Financial Analyst

Our client is a highly acquisitive business with an ever growing brand presence in the UK market. Due to this continued success they seek to hire a Financial Analyst. The role will develop forecasting and analytical tools to help understand key drivers ofperformance and financial impact of decisions. Ultimately the role will help the business to become more agile and able to quickly respond to changing market conditions. Initially focusing on simplifying and improving the forecasting and reporting tools andproducing insightful analysis. Identifying and implementing process improvements and build strong working relationships across the business. The role will work collaboratively with other members of the finance team plus the wider Data Intelligence teams whilstworking directly with the Operations stakeholders.
- Supporting the Ops team, challenging as appropriate to ensure driving the best return on all sales
- Ownership of the weekly forecasting process with strong emphasis on continuous improvement of the accuracy and timeliness of delivery
- Production and continuous development of the weekly KPI reporting
- Support simplification, standardisation and continuous improvement of processes and controls to achieve effective financial reporting and operation processes
- Develop suite of models that allow us to scenario plan sales approach based on potential market outlooks
- Take a balanced view to ensure correct focus on both cash generation & profitability
- Model how best to enhance our owned stock to drive greater profitability at auction
- Own live risk & opportunities planning, keeping senior team appraised of potential impacts
- Help define improvements in reporting & moving reports away from Excel and into Power BI
- Budgeting & Forecasting plus input into 5YP. Focus on improving accuracy of short to medium-term forecasting
- Building tender models to support commercial pricing decisions
- Providing adhoc analysis for the Head of Regional and Commercial Finance, Head of Operations and Commercial Finance Director
A salary of £35,000-£45,000 DOE plus benefits
