**Hours**: This is a casual role and work will be offered on an ad-hoc basis. We are open 7 days a week from morning until late so flexibility is required to meet the needs of the venue.

**Pay**: £12.00 per hour

The Mix bar/café is an exciting new, licensed premises situated on Ipswich’s waterfront. The safe and inclusive ground floor venue provides a food and drink offering throughout the day and evening, which appeals to the growing student base and visitors to the town’s historic marina.

**About the role**:
We offer a fantastic range of drinks from mouth-watering cocktails, to freshly served coffee. As a bar team member, you will provide an outstanding experience for our customers, providing excellent and efficient service - whilst being at the heart of the student population.

You may already know your Mojitos from your Espresso Martini and flare up a storm behind the bar, or perhaps you’re a pro on the barista machineBut don’t worry if not, we will teach you everything you need to know.

The successful applicant will also be familiar with and committed to the values (REACH - Respect, Excellence, Ambition, Creativity, Honesty) of Access Community Trust and steadfast in delivering the organisation’s charitable aims.

**Person Specification (Essential/Desirable)**:

- Previous experience preparing and serving high-quality drinks (E)
- Previous experience working within a bar/restaurant/coffee house environment (D)
- Previous experience taking orders and payments (E)
- Ability to maintain a clean and inviting bar and front of house area (E)
- Previous experience serving food to customers at tables (D)
- Excellent customer service and communication skills (E)
- Good team player and able to work well with others (E)
- Positive attitude and friendly demeanor (E)
- The ability to operate IT/EPOS till-based service equipment for orders, till usage and card payments (D)
- Cash handling experience (D)
