**The Role**
Landscape Services are recruiting for a static Grounds Person to undertake grounds maintenance works and related tasks on a large site in Maidstone. This will involve a range of operations including maintaining cricket grounds, grass cutting, border works and hedge cutting, setting out and marking sports fields and related works. The role includes assisting the school site team when required.

The post holder will be self-motivated and able to demonstrate knowledge of, and consideration towards, health and safety, and safe work practices. They will at times be our frontline representative for the Company and the customer whilst on site and as such will be organised and professional.

**Due to the nature of work being carried out a full DBS check (provided by the Company) and a Full UK Driving License is required.**

**Key Duties**:

- Ensure daily grounds maintenance tasks are done to satisfy customers and contract specifications such as maintaining cricket grounds, grass cutting ect. Ensuring excellent customer service at all times by communicating and offering support to customers
- Check all equipment and materials against health and safety regulations and procedures, seeking direction from line manager where needed
- Completing all paperwork, forms, health and safety inspections and on-site preparations in a competent and efficient manner
- Where required, responding to and supporting inclement weather works i.e. snow clearing and high winds.
- Regularly liaise with customers and resolve any concerns, difficulties or issues, reporting problems and actioning instructions as required. Ensuring Landscape Services is represented professionally and in accordance with good customer care

**What we need from you**:

- Experience working in a grounds maintenance role maintaining cricket grounds
- Horticulture related knowledge and operational procedure awareness
- Great level of health and safety knowledge and able to adhere to rules and regulations in the workplace
- Ability to use IT systems
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- PA1A, PA6A qualification
- Full UK driving license
