Due to continued growth our client who is based in Colnbrook, Slough, are looking to add an experienced 3.5T van driver to their growing team.

**Responsibilities**:

- Complete collection and delivery of freight in line with the company's operating procedures.
- Complete daily run sheet accurately and ensure the information is uploaded into the system.
- Ensuring all goods are safely secured and paperwork is in order.
- Adhere to company's security procedures at all times.
- Keep allocated vehicle, clean at all times.
- Perform a vehicle defect report on every company vehicle you use.
- Report any issues in the transport department to your line manager.
- Represent the company when on collections and deliveries by demonstrating high levels of customer service and a smart appearance.
- Undertake additional duties, or assist other members of staff as and when required.
- Check all freight loaded onto the van is correct.
- Check off all freight collected and drop off to depot.
- Liaise with various security companies when making deliveries/collections to certain stores/boutiques.

**Knowledge, skills and experience required**:

- Hold a full UK CAT B driving license (No HGV license required, but desirable).
- Have a good knowledge of the English language both verbal and written.
- Able to prioritise and organise own workload to tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills: The ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Be a team player in the transport team as well as working alongside other members of staff in the warehouse, Vault and duty staff.
- Sound knowledge of the outlook app and POD Scanning app of the smart phone (provided by company)
- Smart/professional appearance. (Uniform provided)
- Experience of transporting valuable goods. (Desirable)
- Knowledge of the local area and Central London. (Desirable)

**Due to the nature of the role there are a number of compulsory checks that must be carried out**:

- A criminal record check - basic disclosure (DBS) carried out by the Disclosure and Barring Service.(provided by the company)
- 5-year reference history with gaps in employment scrutinised and accounted for.
- Driving licence check

**Full Time Permanent position**

**Monday to Friday**

**Average 8 hours per day**

**1 to 5 drops per day**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £23,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
