Bouygues Energies and Services currently has an exciting opportunity for a Catering Assistant to work within our catering team at King’s College London in Waterloo.

This is a full-time permanent position working 40 hours p/week, 8 hours per day (rostered for 9 hours with a 1 hour unpaid break) to be completed typically between 07:00 and 19:00 (please note there will be some earlier start and finish times, business dependent), 5 days from 7.

Please note there will be a requirement in the contract to work some weekends as and when required, in particular for the three summer months of June, July and August due to weekend hospitality events/summer schools.

**The role**:

- Reporting to the Catering Supervisor
- To work in all areas of catering, including the retail outlets and hospitality, providing a high level of customer service
- To carry out food preparation ensuring food safety at all times
- To maintain a “clean as you go” policy and clean all equipment, crockery and cutlery
- To operate the tills in accordance with the company policy and to complete all paperwork such as temperature monitoring
- Working 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day, 5 days out of 7, Monday to Sunday, between the hours of 06:00 and 23:00

**The person**:

- Previous experience within food preparation is highly desirable
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- A working knowledge of Health & Safety
- Basic Food Hygiene awareness
- A knowledge of HACCP
