Job Title **Finance Assistant**

Reporting to **Financial Controller**

Salary**:£22,500 per annum**

Contracted Hours **40 hours per week**

Location **Based at Head Office, Swindon (may require sight visits)**

Scope **The role is responsible for supporting the Head Office functions including but not limiting to; Payroll, Purchase & Sales Ledger, Accounting and Audit Processing. It will be the lead position on all homes financial processes to ensure that compliance is in line with company policies.**

Key

Accountabilities
- Supporting Payroll with processing of Employee information. This will include but not be limited to;
1) Starters & Leavers

2) Timesheet processing

3) Review and monthly payroll submission

4) Post Payroll processes such as Pension/NI

5) AD-hoc processing as and when required
- Supporting Purchase Ledger processes. This will include but not be limited to;
1) Supplier statement reconciliations

2) Bank Reconciliation

3) Petty Cash Reconciliation

4) Support and Review all Purchase Orders, chasing where required

5) Processing Invoices into supplier accounts, accurately reporting the Creditors.
- Supporting Sales Ledger processes. This will include but not be limited to;
1) Local Authority Reconciliations (completed weekly/monthly)

2) Support Admission/Discharge Processes (Including opening and closing billing line and statement of accounts for admissions and discharges).

3) Amendment to resident contract/fee terms on a ad-hoc basis from the Local Authority.

4) Support the Income Reconciliation within the set month end timetable

5) Issuing Reminders/Action notices to outstanding balances due from debtors in line with the credit control policy and procedures.

6) Raising unpaid debtors to the Revenue & Credit Control Manager for resolution.

7) Ad-Hoc Duties to support revenue and credit control processes.
- Supporting Accounting & Audit Processing. This will include but not be limited to;
1) Home Audits including reporting and compliance analysis to identify any gaps within the company processes to be resolved within a timely manner.

2) Central Audits including homes data analysis to ensure completeness and validation of data held within the system.

3) Ad-hoc reporting. This will support SMT key decision making at quarterly and annual budget/forecast setting.

4) Review monthly Amenities/Resident Personal Money Reconciliations to ensure company compliance has been met.

5) Support the implementations of new policies and systems in the homes from time to time as required.

GCSE English and Maths (A-C) Grade or equivalent
IT Literate - MS Office

Administrative Qualification

**Knowledge & Experience**

Demonstrate experience of working within a administrative role

Experience of working in a high transaction, labour intensive business

Knowledge of the Care Sector

**Skills & Abilities**

Able to prioritise set tasks, often conflicting tasks
