We are looking for a enthusiastic Tenancy Support Worker to join our team in East Lancashire
You will be employed as part of a designated housing team providing housing and recovery support to people who have a history of substance and/or alcohol issues engaging with CGL Inspire Substance Misuse Service and who are experiencing accommodation problems.
As a Tenancy Support Worker, you aims will be to:
- Improve access to suitable and sustainable accommodation for Inspire service users.
- Reduce rate of unplanned discharges from drug and alcohol treatment.
- Support service users living within a settled status to maintain and manage their tenancy, preventing eviction.
- Deliver effective housing support interventions and ultimately reduce the scale of unmet housing need.
Working within a psychologically informed environment you will be responsible for identifying individuals appropriate for recovery housing locally and managing the referral and assessment pathway.
You will provide Housing Clinics to Inspire service users, referring and signposting for debt advice, housing support and tenancy issues. You will also supporting the tenancies of Inspire customers living in properties secured and managed by Emerging Futures, providing both structured and opportunistic interventions.
- **What you will be doing**_
- Managing the referral and assessment pathway between referral partner and Emerging Futures community recovery housing.
- Developing and maintaining excellent working links/partnerships with community agencies and resources, including faith-based groups, supported housing providers & training and educational providers.
- Providing specialist housing related support to individuals identified within CGL Inspire.
- Delivering a range of structured and opportunistic psychosocial interventions to prevent relapse or promote sustained and improved wellbeing.
- Conducting financial planning with and provide debt support where appropriate.
- Providing tenancy sustainment support to reduce the likelihood of eviction and homelessness.
- Maintaining up to date and concise case notes using a variety of case management systems.

- Experience of providing a range of evidence-based interventions to individuals affected by substance misuse and/or offending
- An understanding/awareness of current national policies on housing, substance use and community development and the strategies that influence the priorities of recovery services.
- Housing management experience or experience of working in a residential setting with those with a history of substance misuse.
- A knowledge and understanding of policies related to the safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults and how these influence practice.
- Experience of facilitating successful tenancy sustainment and working to achieve positive community connections.
- A clear understanding of confidentiality and boundaries.
