We are looking for a proactive and efficient Assistant Buyer to join our team on a 4 month FTC. As an integral part of our buying department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and timely procurement of materials and equipment.

**So, what will you be doing**?
Your responsibilities will include collaborating closely with the buying team to assist in purchasing activities, such as researching suppliers, negotiating pricing and terms, and placing orders in a timely manner. You will communicate effectively with other departments to understand their requirements and align procurement needs accordingly. Additionally, you will monitor inventory levels, track order statuses, and proactively resolve any issues that may arise to ensure on-time delivery

You will also:

- Liaise with suppliers, planning teams, operations managers and site teams, ensuring information is accurately communicated promptly and efficiently.
- Ensure all materials and equipment are delivered to sites within the required timeframe.
- Raise Purchase orders, cross-check invoices and query differences.
- Proactively resolve any issues or delays in the procurement process to minimize disruptions.
- Continuous improvement and implementation of project work to enhance a consistently evolving department.

**The Person**:
Working closely with our experienced buying team, your exceptional communication skills and ability to prioritise tasks will be essential in coordinating purchasing activities. Your attention to detail and dedication to delivering results will contribute to the overall success of our organisation.
