Our client is recruiting for an experienced Magnet Coil Winder to join their growing team

**Magnet Coil Winder roles and responsibilities**:

- Winding coils for Superconductor Magnets to specifications defined by the engineering department
- Following Engineering Drawings and complex work instructions
- Prepping coil formers for winding including leak detection using a helium
- Coil preparation and coil winding to precise standards, to meet the correct turns per layer
- Performing and recording electrical checks
- To ensure that all work is carried out in a safe manner in compliance with the Company’s Health & Safety Policy and Quality Procedures

**The ideal Magnet Coil Winder will be**:

- ONC or BTECH qualification preferred but not essential
- Experienced with winding coils for Superconductor Magnets and the use of round and WIC superconducting wires
- Knowledge of working and handling high value superconducting wires
- Understanding of operating manual winding machines
- Further experience with resin impregnation and magnet assembly would be advantageous
