We seek a talented PDRA to work on a newly awarded European Innovation Council Pathfinder project to develop a novel, first-in-its-kind, aptamer-based LYTAC to address the unmet clinical need of diabetic wounds. This APTADEGRAD Pathfinder project involves partners from the UK, Spain, Portugal and Belgium, spanning industry and academia. The post is for a period of 4 years and will involve close interdisciplinary working project partners across Europe. The UK arm of the project focuses on evaluating efficacy and safety using _in vitro_, _ex vivo_ and _in vivo_ wound studies.

Advanced Wound Research is a priority area for the Hull York Medical School, comprising a vibrant and active community of researchers and postgraduate students. Led by Prof. Mat Hardman, the wound research group is based in state-of-the-art research facilities at the Daisy Building, Castle Hill Hospital.
