**CNC Machinist | Redcar & Cleveland | Shift working | £41,000 per annum + Overtime**

Our client is a heavy engineering subcontractor, based in East Cleveland. They offer subcontract machining, mechanical engineering and testing services to a number of industries including Defence, Renewables, Energy and Rail.

Formed in 1963, the company is one of Redcar & Cleveland’s biggest privately owned employers.

Currently in its 60th year with a strong order book and a great investment plan, this is an excellent time to join the company and be part of its future

You will work 40 hours per week, alternate days and nights following your training period. You will work Monday to Thursday with overtime available on Friday and Saturday.

**Are you the right person for the job?**
- Strong mechanical engineering skills and previous experience in CNC machining mid to large components is essential
- Ability to read and follow drawings, and work to instructions given
- Setting and programming skills
- Production focused with a drive to improve efficiencies and production methods

**What will your role look like?**

As a CNC Machinist, you will be required to machine items to drawings, route cards and any relevant specifications, with regard to time-efficient working practices, in compliance with company quality, safety and environmental standards. Including:

- Programming, Setting and Operating the machines
- Working at all times in a safe and responsible manner, being aware of the surroundings you are working in
- Adhering to company-safe systems of work and policies
- Completing documentation and hold points during machining processes as per company processes
- Carrying out regular checks and inspections on machinery and plant
- Reporting deviations to specifications and drawings as required
- Keeping your work area clean and tidy to a high standard of housekeeping
- Supporting and training apprentices
