The job holder will be responsible for the supervision and delivery of a function within the Corporate Access Team. This will include supporting the delivery of key performance indicators as agreed with the Access Manager/ Service Manager to the benefit of the patient experience.

The job holder will provide leadership and line management for a team of Data Improvement and Access Officers. The job holder will ensure efficient and effective systems of work are in place and implemented, internal service and performance targets are met and that all patients are seen and recorded accurately with relation to National and Local RTT standards.

The job holder will co-ordinate and contribute to the provision of a professional and efficient Corporate Access service Trust wide. The job holder will be responsible for ensuring a wide range of RTT and Non-RTT pathway management, data quality and administrative duties are completed within agreed timescales and dealing with issues as they arise, escalating appropriately.

The job holder will act as a point of reference offering expertise and guidance to other team members in relation to complex pathway decisions.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, dynamic individual with a “get up and go” attitude to help support the Access Manager and Service Manager with the day to day management of a number of administration staff across the Corporate Access Team.

The successful applicant must have previous supervisory experience. In addition you must be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. You will be proactive and through your interpersonal skills, you should be able to crisis manage and actively problem solve. You will be required to deputies for the Team manager in times of absence.

Specifically, this role covers the co-ordination of supervisory and line management duties required to deliver a comprehensive and efficient Corporate Access service. The job holder will be required to supervise a team a team of Data Improvement and Access Officers and will be responsible for the people management requirements for leading and managing a successful high performing team. The job holder will be required to be knowledgeable and competent in all aspects of the Patient Access Policy and the 18-week RTT as well as Non-RTT pathways.
