**Web Applications Developer**

**Location**:Brighton

**Salary**: £25,000 - £38,000 per annum

**Job Type**:Full Time, Permanent
**The Role**

The company are looking to recruit an Applications Developer to work within the Development Team.The post reports to the Head of Product Development and Infrastructure. The postholder will take pride in the quality of their coding, documentation and unittesting and will be an advocate for compliance with web standards and accessibility guidelines.

**Key tasks include**:
Taking on tasks around maintaining the company’s codebase and developing new features.
- Being a proactive member of the scrum team, taking part in planning sessions, daily stand-ups and bi-weekly presentations to the wider company.
- Working closely with the UX designers to produce great experiences, across platforms.
- Liaise with clients as and when required.

**Qualifications/Skills**

The role requires a range of skills, some of which are:

- Traditional web development: PHP / MySQL / HTML / CSS
- CodeIgniter PHP framework (Desirable)
- Testing tools (PHPUnit / Selenium) (Desirable)
- Composer / npm / Git (Desirable)

The post holder should have a working knowledge of best practice usability and Agile scrum/sprint and be able to document code and provide system documentation.
