If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our dedicated team as a Therapeutic Support Staff member at our reputable therapeutic children's home.

As a Therapeutic Support Staff member, you will play a vital role in providing therapeutic care and support to the children in our home. Your responsibilities will include:

- Building positive relationships with the children, promoting trust, and providing emotional support.
- Implementing and facilitating therapeutic activities and interventions that promote healing and growth
- Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for each child
- Assisting with daily living activities, including personal care, mealtime support, and recreational activities.
- Providing a safe and structured environment, ensuring the physical and emotional well-being of the children
- Documenting observations and progress notes accurately, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to professional standards.
- Participating in team meetings and case conferences to contribute to the overall care and development of the children.

Requirements:

- Previous experience working in a therapeutic setting or with children who have experienced trauma is preferred, but not essential.
- A compassionate and empathetic nature, with the ability to connect with and support children who have complex needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of therapeutic techniques and interventions, such as trauma-informed care, play therapy, or cognitive-behavioural approaches.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- A commitment to upholding the highest standards of safeguarding and child protection.

**To be considered for work with us**
- You must hold a Full UK Driving Licence
- Ideally you have experience supporting children
- Holding a Level 3 or equivalent in Children & Young People would be desirable but not essential - we'd be happy to support you through your Level 3 or Level 5 qualifications
- Please note that all successful applicants are required to obtain a satisfactory DBS Enhanced Certificate, or provide evidence that you are on the Update Service

**What will I do as a Residential Support Worker?**
- Using your experience and skills - Using life skills, you will have the opportunity to make a huge difference within a young persons life. Helping them to overcome any difficulties or disadvantages they may face - allowing them to strengthen their future. You will meet a variety of young people, some of whom may require high levels of supervision and support.
- All of our homes adopt therapeutic practise, giving you the opportunity to develop into a therapeutically informed carer.
- Assist the Deputy Manager and Registered Manager in achieving the aims and objectives of the statement of purpose, and uphold the organisations mission statement and values.
- You will create positive relationships with the children, meeting their needs and safeguarding them at all times.
- You will create timetables, setting boundaries and expectations for the young people. Consistency and organisation skills are key.
- **Earn up to £30,300** (scale based on experience and qualifications held, inclusive of sleep ins at £50 per sleep) - we used structured pay grades, so salary is based on your training and experience so that you are always paid fairly.
- £12.50 per hour no qualified.
- £13.50 per hour qualified.

**Salary**: £28,000.00-£30,300.00 per year
