**Data Governance Manager**

**From £ 400 - £ 500 p/d - inside IR35**

**Hybrid - multiple locations**

**9-Month Contract**

We are seeking a Data Quality Manager for our government client. The location is hybrid, based between approx. 2 days a week on-site and the remainder working remotely. Office locations include Leeds, Sheffield or Newcastle, as preferred.

This role is inside IR35 - Due to the service of the role it will now be based on an Umbrella solution.

**Role Profile/Responsibilities**:

- Manage the compliance programme for data protection
- Review, support and advise on data protection impact assessments
- Develop new and improve strategies that focus on privacy and regulatory standards
- Monitoring compliance with data protection legislation, including the assignment of responsibilities, awareness-raising including overseeing departmental training of staff involved in processing operations through appropriate departmental mechanisms
- Contributing to a planned programme of risk-based audits to test compliance
- Professional experience and knowledge of national DPA law including expertise in European data protection laws and practices
- Collaboration and stakeholder / relationship-building skills
- Time management/planning and organising
- Confident decision making
- Knowledge of GDPR
