Interim IT Software Tester

**Location**: Home based, travel to site near Bristol.***

**Salary**: £400 per day +expenses - Outside IR35.***

**Summary**:
Our Client is looking for an IT Software Tester on an interim basis. Experience gained within a supply chain logistics or distribution environment is essential.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- As a Tester the focus of your role will be to ensure the quality assurance stage of software development and deployment by conducting automated and manual tests to ensure the software created by developers is fit for purpose and any bugs or issues are removed within a product before it gets deployed to everyday users.
- Work with software developers and project support teams to agree key objectives and timelines.
- Create resource plans to ensure testing is carried out to meet key deadlines and go live dates.
- Carry out stress testing, performance testing, functional testing, and scalability testing.
- Write and execute test scripts.
- Test in different environments including web and mobile to ensure a robust process.
- Work closely with the Project Managers and Business Analysts towards departmental and project deadlines.
- Provide objective feedback to software development and project teams to fix issues.

- This role requires proven ability to develop effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels within the business.
- This is a fast-paced and varied role, requiring excellent communication and time-management skills as well as a solid skillset in Testing. Our Business Change team are passionate about what they do, and we are looking for a like-minded individual to join us.
- Demonstrable experience in manual and automation testing in a fast paced, changeable work environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to liaise with a variety of stakeholders.
- A passion for working with technology and understanding new approaches and developments.
