FINTEC recruit is delighted in working with a leading international organisation whose mission is improving waste streams and lower their carbon footprint. Looking to recruit a W**aste Management Advisor**, a specialist role in monitoring and driving improvements and compliance for business waste streams. You will have a lead focus on advising across the business being part of the wider HSEQ Team. Salary commensurate with experience, plus bonus and benefits.

**Responsibilities**:

- Providing specialist advice and support across the business in relation to compliance, policy legislation and best practice
- Ensuring compliance with regulations and licences as well as technical advice on waste classification, packaging and disposal activities
- Monitor, advise and report on dangerous goods transport compliance, best practice for vehicle operators, manufacturers and shipping
- Undertake audits, support with HSE tasks and inspections; provide written reports and recommendations
- Able to develop staff confidence and capabilities, promote good practice in the field of waste management

**Skills and Experience required for the Waste Management Advisor**:

- Experience in waste management
- SQA certificate for DGSA (rail, road, inland waterways) or willingness to work towards
- Extensive knowledge in UK Waste Regulations
- Environmental certificate (IEMA/NEBOSH)
- Member of Chartered Institute of Waste Management would be desirable (or willingness to work towards)
- Experience in risk assessments
- Competent IT skills

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

- Monday to Friday
