Are you a recent Science or Engineering graduate and looking to take a step into a sales career? Or a graduate who is early in their B2B sales career? Do you have a passion for Sales and a desire to learn? Join us as **Technical Sales Executive working within our Energy Research and Material Processing Team.** You should be driven and passionate about, not only what you do and the people you work with, but equally developments within Science and Technology.
As well as being responsible for your own pipeline, you will provide support to, and learn from, our experienced Business Development managers. This position will involve identifying and converting new client opportunities, the development of existing customeraccounts, and representing our company at exhibitions within the UK.

We are a well-established **Scientific Sales Company**, with a goal to catalyse Science and Technology Innovation by sourcing and supplying highly innovative, affordable, and reliable materials and research equipment for a broad spectrum ofcustomers within both research and manufacturing sectors.
**Flexible Base and Hybrid working. Our offices are based in Tamworth Office, close to M42,**
The Technical Sales Executive will be based out of our Tamworth office. The role, after training, will be a mix of office, home and visit based and will require some travel way from home, both in the UK and overseas.
**Role Purpose**
As **Technical Sales Executive,**you will work within our **Energy Research and Material Processing Product Team**; this is a significant sector for us and has seen a minimum 20% increase in margin revenue each year.
You will:
- Successfully create business from new and existing customer accounts and consistently achieve your revenue targets and KPIs
- Manage your own sales pipeline effectively, updating the customer database, pro-active calling, order planning and task management.
- Be the main point of contact between us and our customers: Helping to support them through their buying journey from start to finish.
- Proactively contact potential or lost customers to assist with sales
- Work within a tight knit team, you will aid and support other team members as required
- Complete market analysis and strategic planning tasks to support the company’s growth plans
- Work closely with Business Development Manager and Sales Support Assistants to ensure strong, long-lasting customer and supplier relationships are built and maintained and the development goals of the team are achieved
- Work with both internal and Supplier technical staff and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs

**General requirements and background needed**:
- **A degree** or higher in a relevant science or engineering discipline (e.g., Material Science, Physics, Chemistry or Chemical, Mechanical, Materials Engineering, or similar)
- **Passionate**about sales, business development and delivering excellent customer service
- **Target driven,**likes clear goals and expectations
- An **enquiring mind** and desire to stay up to date with research and product developments
- Has a success-focused mindset and strong **team commitment**.
- Confidence and an outgoing personality. Able to build relationships quickly and be comfortable reaching out and speaking with new people. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- **Effective questioning** - Curious and always looking to understand more
- **Accountability and Resilience** Takes ownership of issues and learns from mistakes
- **Location** - within one hour of Tamworth
- **A strong team player**, able to work with a wide range of people and adapt to differing working styles
- Demonstratable **early leadership skills**, for example captain of a team, DofE or volunteering
- **Professional attitude** and presentation as you will be meeting key stakeholders and representing the company brand
- A **full UK Driving License**and own car
- **Eligibility to work** in the UK without restriction
- An additional language to English would be advantageous
**Science and Technology Sector knowledge**:
- Working knowledge of at least one area of, Energy Research or Material Processing
- Ability to navigate and interpret academic papers
- Able to provide an overview of their final year research project, dissertation, or PhD thesis
