Cdm Advisor

Working for the principal contractor on a new ice cream line installation within an existing food factory as CDM Advisor.

This role requires an extremely professional, reliable, flexible and personable safety professional. An individual who can work independently where needed and meet strict time and performance deadlines.

High level construction experience is essential, working at a principal contractor or client level, with experience working within the food industry and FMCG sector highly preferred.

The role will cover Monday-Friday (10 hour day shift) with opportunities for weekend work as required to cover the project. This role is a contract ltd company role and is designated as outside of (IR35).

The all inclusive day rate for this role is £350 per day. There is an uplift in the Day rate paid for saturdays to £400 per shift and a further uplift paid for Sundays of £450 per shift

The project scope covers the following:

- Removal of an existing hardening tunnel
- Construction of an external roadway
- Concrete slab pouring for tunnel base
- Removal of internal flooring
- Relocation of local drainage system
- Installation of new flooring
- Installation of new hardening tunnel
- Installation and commissioning of production equipment

The requirements of the role include but are not limited to:

- Ensure compliance for CDM regulations throughout the project
- Review and monitor risk assessments for project activities.
- Manage day to day contractor activities.
- Ensure contractor suitability and qualifications.
- Implement and manage permit system.
- Collate and monitor safety KPI’s for the project.
- Machinery safety compliance incident investigation
- Inductions for access to the area and monitoring of access.
- Ensure emergency procedures are in place for the project area.
- Ensure segregation of project waste.
- Deliver site briefings and tool box talks as required
- Carry out area construction safety audits and inspections.
- Conduct site walkarounds, inspections and daily reporting through site diaries.
- Maintaining communication between the client and the subcontractors

Qualifications required:

- Nebosh diploma or equivalent
- Trained and current 3 day full first aider
- GRAD IOSH/Chartered IOSH or working towards
