We require a committed and experienced
**Temporary Archivist**

to work for our well-established client based in Milton Park, Oxfordshire

**Hourly rate**:
£11 - £14 per hour

**Hours**:
Part time - up to 20 hours per week

**Days**:
Monday to Friday

**Location**:
Milton Park, Oxfordshire

**Start date**:

**About the role**:

- As
**Temporary Archivist,**

your duties will include:

- Receive study records (paper, CD, tissues, slides ) following compliance procedures
- Barcode records with the off-site archive reference labels
- Input into the new software, assisting with transition from Excel with the goal of discontinuing Excel usage
- After indexing, box up the study records in the off-site archive designated packaging, for collection and transport to the off-site archive facility for storage
- Retrieval of study records from the off-site archive facility when requested; and return as soon as possible after the purpose of request following best practice and compliance procedures
- Review older study records to determine if they need to actually be stored or are beyond their retention period, this will reduce storage costs.
- Assist with any divestitures when needed

**About you**:

- Have a very good attention to detail
- Open to meeting and talking to people from all around the world
- Curious to ask questions to ensure full comprehension
- Excellent command of the English language and Microsoft tools
- Able to move/lift boxes weighing up to 25 to 30 kilograms
- Have some library/archive experience
- Have an education in a scientific-related discipline - desirable

**Additional Information**:
This is a temporary, part time role for approximately 1 year, with a view to possibly extend.
