**Healthcare Assistant Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Providing Personal Care: Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming, while ensuring their dignity and privacy are maintained at all times.
- Administering Medication: Administer prescribed medications accurately and in accordance with the client's care plan and medication management policies, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and guidelines.
- Monitoring Vital Signs: Regularly monitor and record clients' vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiratory rate, and report any abnormalities or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Assisting with Mobility: Safely assist clients with mobility needs, including transferring, repositioning, and using mobility aids, while adhering to proper moving and handling techniques to prevent injury.
- Providing Emotional Support: Offer emotional support and companionship to clients, actively listening to their concerns and providing reassurance, empathy, and encouragement as needed.
- Supporting Rehabilitation: Assist clients with rehabilitation exercises and activities as directed by healthcare professionals, promoting independence and facilitating recovery.
- Maintaining Cleanliness and Hygiene: Ensure a clean and hygienic environment for clients by assisting with household tasks, such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation, in accordance with infection control guidelines.
- Documenting Care: Accurately document all care provided to clients, including observations, interventions, and any changes in condition, in accordance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
- Promoting Health and Safety: Identify and address potential health and safety hazards in the client's environment, taking appropriate measures to minimize risks and maintain a safe living space.
- Continuing Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills, staying up-to-date with changes in legislation, best practices, and industry standards.

By fulfilling these duties and responsibilities in accordance with UK legislation, healthcare assistants play a vital role in delivering high-quality care and support to clients, promoting their well-being and independence while adhering to legal and regulatory requirements.

**Job Type**: Zero hours contract

**Salary**: £10.85-£11.85 per hour

Expected hours: 48 per week
